Polo Ralph Lauren Names Robbin Mitchell Vice President of Licensee Development

 (NYSE:   RL) announced that Robbin Mitchell has joined the company as vice
 president of licensee development.  In this new role, she will be responsible
 for new business proposals and licensee reviews.  Ms. Mitchell reports to Doug
 Williams, group president, global business development.
     Most recently, Ms. Mitchell was senior vice president of strategic brand
 development for Tommy Hilfiger Corporation.  In that role, she was responsible
 for developing strategic initiatives to improve profitability and drive
 revenue growth for the company's wholesale and licensed divisions.  Prior to
 joining Tommy Hilfiger, Ms. Mitchell served as senior vice president,
 strategic logistics for GFT USA where she identified and implemented high
 impact planning, logistics and supply chain related solutions for GFT USA's
 operating divisions including Giorgio Armani Le Collezioni, Valentino and
 Calvin Klein Men's Apparel.  For the previous seven years, she was a senior
 engagement manager and an associate in the retail practices of McKinsey and
 Company and The Boston Consulting Group, respectively.  Ms. Mitchell began her
 career as an analyst at Lehman Brothers.
