Popular Website 'Am I Hot Or Not' Will be Shutting Down Domain

Apr 26, 2001, 01:00 ET from Eight Days, Inc.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Eight Days, Inc. announced
today that it will be shutting down its former domain name and is officially
changing the name and location of its popular website to
 "HOT or NOT" (www.hotornot.com).
The website, formerly known as "Am I Hot Or Not"(www.amihotornot.com), was
launched in October 2000 and quickly grew through grassroots word of mouth to
become one of the most popular sites on the web.
Although the company has not yet taken in venture capital investment or
spent any money to market the website, it has already grown to serve over
250 million pageviews to over 10 million unique visitors each month. Over
1.4 million pictures have been submitted to date, and the site expects to
count its billionth vote within a week.
Earlier this year, the website also launched its "Meet Me" service,
enabling users to safely communicate with each other once two people have
expressed an interest in meeting. The service currently facilitates over
10,000 matches per day and, although it is not a dating site, has already led
 to several marriage engagements.
Eight Days, Inc. operates "HOT or NOT" (www.hotornot.com), a popular
website that enables users to submit their photo for others to rate from
1 to 10. The website also enables users to contact each other through its
unique meeting service. The company is currently run out of a house shared by
its co-founders in Mountain View, CA.
