Ragnarok's Option Execution Platform Approved by International Securities Exchange

Apr 26, 2001, 01:00 ET from Ragnarok Systems, Inc.

CHICAGO, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Securities Exchange
(ISE) has approved XCALIBER, the options execution platform of Ragnarok
Systems, Inc. as an Interim Linkage Provider. The Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC) recently required the five US options exchanges to create an
electronic linkage between each exchange to ensure that customers always
 receive the best available price.
Released in spring of 2000, Xcaliber is electronically linked to all five
U.S. options exchanges. The system retrieves all current pricing for specific
options and identifies the best price. Xcaliber then allows the trader to
control the destination of their order. The system provides basic and
extended real time quotes and is supported by personalized customer and
 technical support.
Xcaliber is being utilized by many of the top options trading firms in the
nation. "I am extremely pleased with the rapid acceptance of our product
within the professional options trading community", said Jim Haile, Director
 of the Xcaliber division.
Xcaliber's performance during the past year has demonstrated its ability
to adapt to the ever-changing and rapidly expanding derivative marketplace.
The Xcaliber platform has proven to be scalable and reliable. Installation is
quick and painless. New users download the application from the Internet and
begin trading almost immediately. "Unlike some of the competitive systems out
there, Xcaliber requires no on-site hardware," said Haile. Xcaliber can
reside on any Windows, UNIX, or Linux platform. The platform also takes
advantage of ZAC technology (Zero Administration Client). Each time a new
enhancement is added, Xcaliber automatically downloads and upgrades the user's
platform and immediately becomes active upon user login.
A web-based administrative tool is also included as part of the
application. "This administrative tool allows us to support all of our
electronic options clients with one simple interface," said Rory O'Kane,
 President of Rom-Bo Trading.
Ragnarok Systems is a Chicago-based technology company serving the needs
of the professional trading community. The Ragnarok System will provide an
integrated platform enabling a user to execute equities, options, and futures
transactions directly to exchanges and electronic networks.
