SAN JOSE, Calif., April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- RapidStream, Inc., the developer
of scalable, integrated high-performance firewall and virtual private
networking (VPN) appliances, today announced its entire product family has
been awarded ICSA Labs Firewall Certification, an assurance to customers that
all RapidStream's products meet the industry's highest firewall security
standards. The RapidStream 2000, RapidStream 4000, RapidStream 6000, and the
most recent addition, the RapidStream 8000 earned the certification.
RapidStream's family of products features firewall throughput from
240 Mbps to 620 Mbps, and 50 Mbps to 360 Mbps of 3DES IP Security (IPSec) VPN

128,000 concurrent sessions using between 200 and 20,000 IPSec tunnels,
providing customers with smooth, high-speed data traffic flow. Software
features include stateful packet inspection, hacker defense, multi-tenant
security, and a policy checker to verify that firewall and VPN policies are
 written correctly.
"ICSA Inc., a division of TruSecure Corporation, is recognized worldwide
as the authority in independent security assurance services," said RapidStream
President and CEO Vince Liu. "RapidStream has worked hard to ensure that all
of our products meet ICSA Labs standards, and we are happy to continue
providing the highest quality security appliances possible to our customers."
George Japak, vice president for ICSA Labs said, "In our lab, we security
test a significant number of the firewall products available on the market
today. Only those firewall products that meet -- and continue to meet -- our
criteria requirements may display the ICSA Labs Certified Firewall logo.
RapidStream's family of products meets our stringent standards."

     Rigorous Testing, Continuous Deployment
ICSA Labs test firewall products against an evolving set of criteria,
composed of both functional and assurance requirements. RapidStream's
firewall products will remain continuously deployed in ICSA Labs' firewall lab
so their analysts can routinely upgrade and quickly test the products against
 the latest security vulnerabilities.
