    SEATTLE, April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of April Fool's Day and the
 Opening Day of Major League Baseball, RealNetworks(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:   RNWK),
 has today unveiled an upside-down billboard campaign that promotes
 RealNetworks' Real.com(TM) website as the place to go to hear live audio
 webcasts of all Major League Baseball games.

     The billboards are featured in three of America's most baseball friendly
 cities:
     *  New York City: at Times Square on the corner of 1567 Broadway at 47th
         Street
     *  Chicago: at Comiskey Park on the Dan Ryan Expressway at Pershing Road
     *  Los Angeles: at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and La Cienega
         Boulevard
 
     The billboards will remain upside down for only 24 hours, and return right
 side up after April Fool's Day is past.  Each features the logo image of Major
 League Baseball and Real.com, and states: Starting April 1 -- Not just any
 game ... every game.  Hear it all on Real.com.
     The billboards highlight the groundbreaking sports broadcasting
 announcement between RealNetworks and MLB Advanced Media, LP (MLBAM), the
 interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball (MLB).
 Considered the largest Internet deal in the history of professional sports,
 the breakthrough agreement dramatically improves the way fans access, listen
 to and watch baseball online by offering the deepest, broadest and most timely
 Major League Baseball content on the Web.
     RealNetworks' Real Broadcast Network(TM) will provide both home and away
 live audio webcast coverage for all 2,450 regular season MLB games ? totaling
 more than 5000 live game feeds.   Live webcast coverage commences today with
 the MLB Season Opener featuring the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Texas Rangers,
 playing in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Broadcast access is available via
 subscription at www.real.com and www.mlb.com .
 
     Specifics of the Internet Broadcast Agreement between RealNetworks and MLB
 Advanced Media
     As announced on March 27, all multimedia Internet content offerings from
 MLB.com as well as from all MLB club sites will be provided exclusively in
 RealNetworks' formats. All live audio webcasts for all regular season MLB
 games will be available by subscription only through MLB.com and Real.com. The
 live audio webcasts will be enhanced with MLBAM's synchronized game statistics
 and pitch-by-pitch animation, adding a richer, visual element to help fans
 track game progress play-by-play. Later in the season, RealNetworks and MLBAM
 will also offer subscribers the additional feature of searching for and
 creating customizable video highlights of daily game coverage. This feature
 will provide subscribers searchable access to every pitch, of every game,
 every day.  Finally, all of the more than 5000 home and away live game feeds
 will be encoded and hosted by RealNetworks' Real Broadcast Network.
 RealNetworks will have the opportunity to generate revenue on the deal through
 subscription sales and advertising revenue generated through RealNetworks' ad
 sales representation of in-stream advertising within the game feeds. The total
 value to MLBAM over the three year term of this agreement is $20 Million, and
 consists of RBN hosting services, advances against revenue sharing and cash
 payment for branding and promotion.
