WAYNESBORO, Va., April 23 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- NTELOS,
the region's largest digital communications network, is pleased to announce
that it has expanded its digital PCS (personal communications services)
network in the first quarter of 2001. The latest expansion further
accommodates its growing family of PCS customers in Virginia and West
 Virginia.
In Virginia, the areas that benefit most from the expansion are the
Interstate 81 corridor between Buchanan and Natural Bridge, Route 11 near
Roanoke City and the City of Salem and the Gretna area along Route 29. Areas
on the west side of Lynchburg, the east side of Charlottesville and north of
Waynesboro along Route 340 were also included. In the Richmond area, the
expansion has boosted the digital coverage on the north side of Richmond and
on Interstate 64 (West) near the Hadensville exit. These additions increase
the reliability of continuous coverage for the PCS mobile phone customer.
"This latest network expansion represents our continuing commitment to
bring customers the highest quality, and most reliable digital communications
service available today," says Carl A. Rosberg, president of wireless
 operations for NTELOS.
In West Virginia, NTELOS PCS coverage has been extended on Route 50 west
of Salem to Avondale. The area south of Interstate 64 along the Tri State
