NEW YORK, Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- retarus Inc., a leading global provider of professional messaging services, announced today the launch of Searchable Faxes. An extension of Retarus' Faxolution suite of services, which was recently re-certified for integration with SAP® applications, Searchable Faxes helps companies benefit from increased efficiencies and reduced operational costs.
Previously faxes were nothing more than an image that would require manual processing to initiate the workflow process, which can be expensive and cumbersome. Leveraging Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology from Retarus, faxes can now be delivered as a searchable PDF along with text-based attachments.
According to Donna Tomasino, President, retarus Inc., "With the enhanced OCR functionality provided by Searchable Faxes, customers can now automate workflow applications including complex order processing, HR on-boarding and delivery notification with ERP solutions from vendors such as SAP. OCR software also allows computers to recognize barcodes and alpha-numeric characters on a fax and turn them into text - simplifying processes for our customers and enhancing the way they do business."
Tim Valentine, Director of North America Sales, retarus Inc., commented, "By leveraging our OCR technology, customers will be able to utilize fax in a way that has never been offered by a managed service provider. It's an exciting time for us."
Committed to delivering innovative messaging solutions to customers worldwide, Retarus is dedicated to customer focus, innovation, high quality and transparency. Each day Retarus ensures customers receive not only the highest quality solutions - but also best-in-class service.
