NEW YORK, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Revlon (NYSE: REV) will unveil the
company's fresh new look in advertising with the debut of an innovative new
brand campaign titled "It's Fabulous Being A Woman." The first execution of
the new campaign, created by communications partner kirshenbaum bond &
partners, launches today and will feature Absolutely Fabulous Lipcream, with
both a 30-second and 15-second television commercial, slated for broadcast
throughout the world. An all-out print campaign will launch internationally in
 June in major consumer magazines.
Following the "It's Fabulous Being A Woman" brand positioning, the
Absolutely Fabulous Lipcream campaign brings to life the fact that women make
the world a more colorful place. Featured in the television spots are four
powerful and confident women who add color to every environment they enter.
Throughout the spot the voiceover reads: "You never know what we'll do. Or
where we'll show up. Whether we'll be in thigh-high boots or a man's shirt. We
could be blonde or red. You never know what mood we'll be in, or what shade
we'll paint our lips. But here's one thing you do know. We make the world a
lot more colorful. Introducing Absolutely Fabulous. Thirty lip creams from
Revlon. It's Absolutely Fabulous being a woman."
"We are thrilled with the work kirshenbaum bond & partners has created,"
said Cheryl Vitali, Executive Vice President and Global General Manager of the
Revlon Brand. "Moreover, we're extremely excited to introduce Revlon's
innovative departure from traditional and formulaic beauty advertising for
women. Today, women celebrate their femininity and need not be apologetic
about it. It is no longer just about being a power woman in today's society,
but about the power of being a woman -- an absolutely fabulous woman."
"Revlon at its best has always celebrated how great it is to be a woman.
Our goal was to reconnect with woman on an emotional level ... to put the fun
and playfulness back into the category and more importantly to tap into the
global truths that reflect who woman are today," said Richard Kirshenbaum,
Co-Founder and Co-Chairman, kirshenbaum bond & partners. "The creative
campaign speaks to all women and embodies how Revlon truly understands the
 camaraderie and spirit of women."
Absolutely Fabulous Lipcream is a rich, decadent lip cream that delivers
sensational color with even, lasting wear. The exclusive formula utilizes
triple-milled pigments wrapped in rich emollients to blanket lips with "mini-
layers" of color. Absolutely Fabulous Lipcream is available in 30 smooth,
luxurious shades with names like Coy, Mischievous and Sly, to flaunt a woman's
 every mood.
