Rita Khayat-Toubia Named Chief Information Officer and Vice President Of Information Systems, Western Multiplex

 Western Multiplex Corporation (Nasdaq: WMUX), a leading provider of high
 capacity, point-to-point fixed-wireless connectivity solutions today announced
 that Rita Khayat-Toubia has joined its executive management staff as Chief
 Information Officer and Vice President of Information Systems.
     Reporting to Amir Zoufonoun, Western Multiplex's President and COO,
 Khayat-Toubia will be responsible for all aspects of information technology,
 including project management, application development, infrastructure
 management, organizational development and process reengineering.
     "Rita will play a key role in the review, definition, implementation and

     Ms. Khayat-Toubia brings more than 15 years of experience in information

 Marion Roussel AG, an international pharmaceutical firm, where she managed
 worldwide IS activity and integrated all IS departments following the Aventis
 merger. Ms. Khayat-Toubia also served as MIS Director of Roussel Uclaf
 Holdings Corporation, for their U.S. headquarters in New Jersey. Prior to her
 position with Hoechst Marion Roussel AG, Ms. Khayat-Toubia served as Director
 of International Information Systems for Roussel Uclaf where she instituted
 operating policies and procedures for worldwide standards and strategic
 planning for more than 25 foreign subsidiaries.
     Ms. Khayat-Toubia holds Post-M.S. degree in Engineering and a M.S. degree
 in Information Systems and Business Administration from ISIM (Institut des
 Sciences de l'Ingengieur de Montpellier), France and a B.S. degree in
