    IRVINE, Calif., April 23 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ --
RnetHealth, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: RNET) today announced a comprehensive
partnership with the University of Florida College of Medicine, Continuing
Medical and Distance Education, to offer educational programs for students and
professionals related to the neurobiology of addiction and the physical and
neuropsychological mechanisms of major substances of abuse. The first
partnership initiative will be development of an elemental base for-credit
course nicknamed "Tobacco 101" which will be offered via the internet by the
University of Florida's Distance Education program and will be available to
every college student in the United States, in addition to the University of
 Florida's over 44,000 student body, at a one-semester fee of $289.
The partnership's initial programs, to be announced over the next several
weeks, focus on tobacco addiction, recovery and prevention, while future
programs are planned on other substances of abuse. The partnership was
devised and designed by Murray Kelly, President and Founder of RnetHealth's
Tobacco School, Timothy J. Van Susteren, Ph.D., Associate Dean at the
University of Florida's College of Medicine, and Mark Gold, M.D., Professor at
the University of Florida College of Medicine's Brain Institute and Chair of
 RnetHealth's Advisory Board.
"Our partnership with RnetHealth will provide us a unique opportunity to
collaborate with a recognized network of prevention and treatment programs, to
achieve our social and educational missions, and to offer educational
activities and courses of the highest quality through the University of
Florida Brain Institute, featuring nationally recognized experts on the
medical and social sciences of addiction," stated Van Susteren.
Wendy Borow-Johnson, President and CEO of RnetHealth, Inc., stated, "This
partnership will target our programs, including Tobacco School, to students
and professionals and complements our program sales to corporations. We are
delighted to be partnered with one of the most esteemed universities in the
country and look forward to extending the scope and reach of substance abuse
education. With our combined efforts, we anticipate a high response and
significant revenue generated from the programs to be announced over the next
 several weeks."
The elemental base course "Epidemiology and Health Issues Related to
Tobacco Addiction" (nickname: "Tobacco 101") will be offered in Fall, 2001 as
a 3-credit, exclusively web-based course offered through the University of
Florida College of Medicine Distance Education program with the support of
Tobacco School. A certificate in tobacco counseling program is being planned
for implementation later in the year. More details about the CME initiative
 will be announced.
"65 million people in North America smoke," stated Kelly. "Smokers and
their families need high-quality, easily accessible and affordable tools for
both recovery and prevention, in order to break the chain of transference from
one generation to another. I look forward to our partnership with the
University of Florida providing us accelerated and unlimited access to
students and educators across the country."
