DETROIT, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- To kick off The Rosa Parks Initiative,
Third Eye Incorporated is sponsoring a festive fund-raising gala. This night
of enchantment, at The Tiger Club, Friday, April 20, 2001, will unite a cross-
generational mix of movers and shakers for a worthy cause. Over 1,000 guests
are anticipated for this tribute to a Detroit Legend, Rosa Parks. The event
will be held in Downtown Detroit at The Tiger Club, located in Comerica Park
(across the street from the Fox Theatre, on Woodward). It is scheduled from
 9 p.m.-2 a.m.
This initiative will include the building of an 8 million dollar monument
on Belle Isle with 1 million roses in honor of Rosa Parks. This structure
will be technologically advanced with interactive computers and holographs,
chronologically detailing the history of the Civil Rights Movement. There are
several corporations working in partnership with area non-profit entities that
have verbally committed to supporting this initiative: Third Eye
Incorporated, UPN, Channel 62, Ameritech, Real Estate Developer Herb Strather,
The Howard Baker Foundation and H.O.P. (Helping Other People), chaired by
Chuck Costa, whose vision inspired this initiative. The funds raised will be
donated to H.O.P.'s Rosa Park venture.
Chuck Costa and Alton B. Gunn, President/Owner of Detroit-based United
Equity Alliance Mortgage Co., have paired up, manifesting a shared vision for
this initiative. Gunn has served as Chairman/CEO of Third Eye Incorporated
since its inception in 1995. Third Eye Incorporated is initiating the seed
money that will serve as the catalyst for this monumental philanthropic
 venture.
