Apr 27, 2001, 01:00 ET from Royal Caribbean International

MIAMI, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Royal Caribbean International announced
today that products from top specialty coffee retailer, Seattle's Best Coffee,
will be available throughout the fleet. Rolled out last month on Radiance of
the Seas, the program will expand to Voyager of the Seas and Enchantment of
the Seas in 90 days, with the remainder of the fleet by yearend. Seattle's
Best Coffee's drip coffee and espresso products will be available in all
dining rooms and bars, and new "cafe" areas will be created on each ship, such
as the Books, Books and Coffee bookstore/coffee shop on Radiance of the Seas.
"We select partners that demonstrate the same commitment to excellence
that our brand represents," said Jack Williams, president, Royal Caribbean
International. "The high quality products of Seattle's Best Coffee are
welcome additions to our onboard dining and beverage experience."
Elements of the program will include an expanded espresso menu, with hot-
weather thirst-quenchers, Cafe Frio and Jet Tea, a proprietary specialty
coffee/alcohol drink menu, in-cabin promotions and a home delivery program.
"This is a great business move for our food service division," said Dave
Pellegrini, vice president, Foodservice Sales. "Royal Caribbean International
offers a superior cruise experience to their guests, and Seattle's Best Coffee
is pleased to enhance it further by serving its specialty coffee onboard. It's
an ideal move to pair top quality coffee with the cruise line that received
top rankings from Conde Nast Traveler."
Future plans include a multi-tiered training program with Seattle-based
training at Seattle Coffee Company's "Coffee University," a Miami-based
shoreside train-the-trainer program, shipboard training, semi-annual shipboard
 training, and selective co-branded promotions.
Royal Caribbean International is a global cruise brand currently with 14
ships in service, and six more under construction or on firm order. For
