    PORTLAND, Maine, April 30 /PRNewswire/ --Reflecting a brand-wide
commitment to become the year-round, daily source for all outdoor enthusiasts,
rsn.com (America Online Keyword: RSN) announced the May 1, 2001, unveiling of
 expanded content and improved functionality.
Founded as a winter sport-dominated website in 1995, rsn.com was
redesigned with the goal of widening their scope of content to include
relevant, authentic, and compelling information regarding a wide array of
regions and activities, all year long.
The expanded content of rsn.com positions the site as a year-round, daily
source of information and entertainment for all outdoor enthusiasts. Catering
to the diverse needs of RSN's current customers, the site redesign also
enhances RSN's ability to attract and retain new users.
"In the last year, we have enhanced the rsn.com experience from the ground
up, improving everything from site content and usability, to speed and
customer experience," said Tom Gale, RSN Vice President of Interactive Media.
"We're confident that the four-season appeal of rsn.com will captivate and
hold a new audience of daily visitors."
Users will notice the organization of expanded site content into the three
new activity divisions -- Land, Water, and Mountain -- making the online
experience more efficient and enjoyable. New aspects of rsn.com also include
improved navigation, graphic design and functionality throughout the site.
Existing rsn.com content, such as the RSN Resort Cam Network, will remain
on the site and be expanded to support year-round activities.
"rsn.com strives to deliver relevant, compelling, daily content to outdoor
enthusiast so they can maximize their enjoyment of the outdoor experience,"
said Gale. "By expanding content coverage and improving site design and
navigation, we can now satisfy the demands of a diverse group of outdoor
 enthusiasts, all year long."
The unveiling of the rsn.com redesign occurs two months after the launch
of a broad partnership between RSN and America Online. Under the terms of the
deal, a customized RSN site, RSN buttons, and RSN banners are posted
throughout America Online properties -- America Online Travel, America Online
Sports, Compuserve, Netscape and Digital Cities - all feeding traffic directly
 to rsn.com.
America Online currently includes 27 million registered users, Netscape
holds 34 million registered users, Compuserve lists 2.8 million registered
users, and Digital Cities covers more than 200 metropolitan areas.
"We've already seen a heavy influx of traffic to rsn.com as a result of
the AOL partnership," said Gale. "We expect to see the trend continue, with
consumers coming to our site year-round and finding that it's exactly the
outdoor web presence that they're looking for."
