Credit Union Members Can Access Cancelled Checks Online

SACRAMENTO, Calif., April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- No clutter, no wait, no
problem -- now SAFE Credit Union members can instantly view their cancelled
checks online using SAFE's free Home Banking Service, CU@Home.
Introduced this month, this new feature gives SAFE members the advantage
of viewing their cancelled checks as they're paid. Members can easily see to
whom their checks were paid, when, and how they were endorsed. Then members
can print copies at their leisure, whether for their own records, to prove a
check has cleared, or for tax and business purposes.
"Anyone who has ever had to show proof of a cancelled check, or has lost
record of to whom a check was written, will immediately appreciate the value
of this check imaging feature," said SAFE President and CEO Henry Wirz. "It's
one more step toward giving our members all the information they need, when
 they need it."
Check imaging is the latest in a series of online amenities added to
SAFE's free Home Banking Service, which also offers free automatic bill paying
 and live online help.
SAFE membership is open to anyone who lives, works or worships in
Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, Sutter and Yolo and Yuba counties. Founded in
1940 as a credit union for McClellan Air Force Base employees, SAFE today
maintains assets of more than $750 million and has 92,500 members, which
include employees at 4,000 businesses throughout the region.
