BOSTON, Sept. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Scallop Imaging, the market innovator in high resolution, panoramic video cameras, and Code Blue, a leading supplier of emergency communication systems, today announced the integration of Scallop Imaging's D7-180 camera with Code Blue's Event Management System (EMS). The Scallop Imaging D7-180 camera provides seven megapixel resolution across a 180 degree field of view, along with H.264 compression and Power over Ethernet (PoE). Code Blue's EMS application provides an intuitive, integrated interface for local area maps, security camera streams, and security center messaging.

Scallop Imaging's D7-180 seven megapixel digital camera distributes the imaging task across multiple, small image sensors, processing over 100 megapixels per second to calibrate, synchronize and merge video in real time. The result is two simultaneous video streams: a 720p HD stream composed of a true 180 degree, non-fisheye, situational awareness view at 15 frames per second, and up to four instantly repositionable zoom windows at full pixel resolution at 15 fps; and a full resolution (5120x1280 pixels) video stream at one fps.

"Adding D7-180 cameras to Code Blue's EMS enables a single camera to deliver full color, high resolution video across a 180 degree field of view. This undistorted panoramic view, plus instant zoom detail views, provides an extremely useful tool for security personnel," said Peter Jones, President of Scallop Imaging. "This is an ideal combination of an industry leading EMS and megapixel security cameras."

"The integration of the Code Blue EMS with Scallop Imaging's D7-180 cameras provides a highly available Life Safety Communication platform which provides both audio and video for public safety answering point applications," said Mick Doran, Product Development Manager, Code Blue Corporation. "Together, we deliver a comprehensive campus view of emergency and non-emergency events."

About Scallop Imaging, Inc.
Scallop Imaging is the leading innovator in developing video imaging systems based on the principles of distributed imaging.
