 Scientific Learning Corporation (Nasdaq:   SCIL) announced today that Glenn
 Chapin, former Southern Region Vice President at CompassLearning, is joining
 the Company as Vice President, Sales, focusing on sales to K-12 schools.  Mr.
 Chapin , a well-regarded  sales executive, has  over  20 years experience in
 sales to the education marketplace and will be responsible for helping the
 Company expand the reach of its Fast ForWord(R) language and reading programs
 to more schools nationwide.  To date, more than 65,000 students across the
 country have used or are using the Fast ForWord programs and nearly 1,200
 school districts have purchased the programs.
