SEPTA Subway-Surface Trolley Diversion

Apr 17, 2001, 01:00 ET from SEPTA

    PHILADELPHIA, April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- SEPTA subway-surface trolley Route
10 will be diverted to the Market-Frankford Line Station at 40th & Market
Street continuously from Sunday, April 22 through Saturday, June 16 due to a
track renewal project in the trolley tunnel.
In addition, due to a signal improvement project on the Market-Frankford
Line, diverted Route 10 riders will board MFL shuttle buses instead of regular
MFL trains at 40th & Market Street. This shuttle substitution will begin on
Sunday, April 22 and continue for five consecutive weekends through May 20.
There is also a separate paving project on Lancaster Avenue that will
cause Route 10 riders to board shuttle buses in place of regular service.
SEPTA shuttles will operate for Route 10 riders between 40th & Lancaster
Avenue to 33rd & Market Street on weekdays from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. and on
 Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
SEPTA apologizes for any inconvenience these interruptions to regular
service causes. There is no charge for riders transferring between the
trolleys and the Market-Frankford Line or the shuttle buses.
SEPTA will make train announcements and post signs alerting commuters to
the upcoming construction and projects. For additional information call the
