    NEW YORK, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The response to Seven Mary Three's
 first single in three years has been overwhelming.  The first single "Wait"
 from the band's forthcoming album, The Economy Of Sound, is taking off like a
 rocket.

     Both rock and alternative radio formats are embracing "Wait" as a smash.
 Seven Mary Three had their biggest single impact week in the history of the
 band.  Over 185 stations in markets large and small added the new track in
 this monster first week.  On the rock side WRIF (Detroit), WJRR (Orlando),
 WEBN (Cincinnati), KQRC (Kansas City), WLZR (Milwaukee), and WXTB (Tampa) all
 came in.  On the alternative side: Q101 (Chicago), KDGE (Dallas), WWDC
 (Washington D.C.), KKND (New Orleans), WEND (Charlotte), WRZX (Indianapolis)
 all came in as well.
     Gregg Steele the regional Vice President of programming for Clear Channel
 based at WZTA (Miami) had this to say about the new track: "Seven Mary Three
 is back with a pretty cool tune!  Couldn't 'Wait' to get this on the air."
     The band that brought Mammoth Records their first Platinum album is off to
 a fast running start with "Wait."  Since the 1995 release of their Platinum
 debut American Standard, the band has charted a string of hits on both the
 alternative and rock formats including: "Cumbersome," "Over Your Shoulder,"
 "My My," "RockCrown," "Water's Edge," and "Lucky."
     The band's latest album, The Economy Of Sound, which is due in stores on
 June 5th, is the band's most compelling album to date.  Seven Mary Three is
 currently in rehearsals in Orlando and will be soon be on the road.  A full
