S.Pellegrino recognizes the importance of both dining in and dining out.
In fact, S.Pellegrino is the sponsor of the San Pellegrino Outstanding
Restaurant Award at the James Beard Foundation Awards for the seventh
consecutive year. And, as a salute to dining at home, S.Pellegrino
commissioned a survey to honor, as well as to celebrate, America's favorite
 home-cooked meal.
"S.Pellegrino is the perfect complement to any dining experience, from
fine restaurant cuisine to your favorite home-cooked meal. Not only does it
cleanse the palate between bites, it is also an excellent digestion aid," says
Elena Paraskeva, Marketing Manager, International Brands, The Perrier Group of
America. "As more and more Americans are choosing S.Pellegrino for dining in,
as well as dining out, we wanted to know which meal is most likely to
 accompany a bottle of S.Pellegrino."
S.Pellegrino surveyed 1,004 Americans aged 18 and over for America's
favorite home cooked meal. Here are some of the S.Pellegrino findings:

     * Steak reigns as America's favorite home cooked meal -- 17% of those
surveyed choose steak as their favorite

     * Americans' palates are diverse. If you think deciding what to chose
to eat in a restaurant is difficult, our at-home diners were just as
torn -- there was a five-way tie for second place:
           * Lasagna; turkey with stuffing; pot roast with vegetables; roast
chicken; and barbecue each garnered 10% of the vote
           * Spaghetti & meatballs and meatloaf & mashed potatoes aren't far
behind, with 9% and 7%, respectively

Men, women, young and old -- check out the demographics:

     * Men prefer red meat; women prefer poultry -- Women's favorite meal
is turkey with stuffing; men's favorite is steak
     *     Two favorite meals differ by age -- Americans 18-34 prefer lasagna;
Americans 65+ prefer turkey with stuffing

The one thing that holds true, no matter what age or sex, or if you are
dining out or at home, S. Pellegrino is the perfect accompaniment to any meal.
 Bon Appetit!
