"We're pleased that Tony has joined our customer management organization,"
said Charles Levine, Sprint PCS president. "Delivering quality customer
service as well as the clarity, coverage, connectivity and value our customers
have come to expect of Sprint remains a top priority. Our employees strive to
provide our customers with an experience that confirms the value choice they
 have made by selecting Sprint."
In two separate studies recently released by the Yankee Group, Sprint PCS
was ranked the overall "clear winner" among U.S. wireless carriers in the
Yankee Group 2000 Mobile User Survey. Nearly 3,000 random mobile phone users
scored their U.S. wireless carrier in three key areas: performance,
improvement and satisfaction. Subscribers ranked Sprint PCS highest among its
 competitors.
With the addition of Castanon to the company's customer management
function, the organization will continue to improve customer satisfaction and
deliver quick, clear answers to customer questions and ensure that customers
receive the highest quality service possible on every interaction.
Castanon will provide customer management leadership focused on creating
an end-to-end customer lifecycle process to achieve the company's objective to
improve the quality of the customer experience.
Prior to joining Sprint PCS, Castanon was with Aetna USHealthcare, where
he was responsible for customer service activities as head of National
Customer Operations. He led Aetna's electronic initiative to streamline
operation, creating a paperless environment and increasing automation in
 medical claim processing.
Before his service at Aetna, Castanon worked for Citigroup, and held
assignments in customer service, transaction processing and systems
development. In his last position with Citigroup, he was responsible for
consumer bank operations and technology in Mexico City, and before that helped
introduce the Citibank photocard credit card throughout the United States and
 Latin America.
