NEW YORK, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Junior sleuths take note: Dimension
Films today announced the full launch of the No. 1 destination for young
spies, www.SPYkids.com, an online interactive game and Web site featuring the
cast and capers of the SPY kids(TM) movie. Young fans from around the world
can prolong the fun of the film by logging on to uncover clues, play with
virtual spy gadgets and participate in other games and activities related to
the new Robert Rodriguez family adventure.
By registering to become an official SPY kid(TM), young secret agents can
follow in the footsteps of the movie's brother and sister heroes.
SPY kids(TM) will use their budding spy skills to save the world from oddball
characters and most importantly, keep their family together.
Once online, official SPY kids(TM) are given clues and information to
unlock the site's secret areas, complete missions and win prizes. The
missions are not competitions. Instead, they are interactive games based on
events in the film and are designed to help kids develop problem-solving
skills in an exciting, nurturing and responsible environment. Plus, fans can
use the site to get exclusive information about the film such as
behind-the-scenes clips, the SPY kids(TM) music video and more.
Writer/Director Robert Rodriguez played an integral role in the
development of this site. In order for the project to stay true to the
SPY kids(TM) world, Rodriguez lent his creative guidance and original content.
"I wanted to make a movie that had the kind of imaginative elements of all
those movies I loved growing up," said Robert Rodriguez, "but I also wanted to
make something new. Most of all, I wanted to tap into the possibilities for a
family adventure that offers to kids not only imagination but empowerment."

About SPY kids(TM) - the movie
The action-packed, invention-filled, special-effects thriller is no longer
just for adults. With SPY kids(TM), director Robert Rodriguez introduces a
new kind of cinematic experience: a family espionage adventure. Filled with
gadgetry, virtual reality and unexpected discoveries of bravery, SPY kids(TM)
is the story of a brother and sister who take on two perilous missions that
defy the odds: first, to save the world from an assortment of menacing
characters and creations; and second (and even more perilous!), to rescue
their parents from kidnappers and keep their family truly together.
The movie is produced by Robert Rodriguez and Elizabeth Avellan and stars
Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino as Gregorio and Ingrid Cortez and Alexa Vega
and Daryl Sabara as their children, Carmen and Juni. The movie also features
Alan Cumming, Cheech Marin, Tony Shalhoub, Danny Trejo, Robert Patrick and
Teri Hatcher. SPY kids(TM) is rated PG (for action sequences) and opens in
 theaters across the country today.
