St. Jude Four Stars of Chicago Restaurant Extravaganza Serves Up Cheer and Support in the Fight Against Childhood Cancer

Chicagoland's top restaurants join hundreds of attendees at annual event benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

CHICAGO, March 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, April 8, Chicagoans will bring their appetites to the Sheraton Hotel & Towers to sample cuisine from top local-area restaurants to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Hosted by Allison Rosati, NBC5 Chicago anchor, the 20th Annual St. Jude Four Stars of Chicago Restaurant Extravaganza brings together more than 900 attendees for a night of food, cocktails and auctions, with proceeds benefiting care and research at one of the country's top children's hospitals.

"Since its inception in 1995, the St. Jude Four Stars of Chicago Restaurant Extravaganza has raised more than $7.9 million for the kids of St. Jude," said Jenny McKenna, Senior Director, Regional Field Management, ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. "This donation, along with support of Chicago's top restaurants and chefs, has helped St. Jude increase the overall childhood cancer survival rate while never denying treatment based on race, religion or the family's ability to pay."

This year's event will feature a cocktail reception, premier live and silent auctions and a special St. Jude patient and her family sharing their inspirational healing story. Attendees will enjoy a sampling of some of Chicago's finest cuisine from 20 local restaurants, including:
