    NEW YORK, April 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard & Poor's ComStock
(http://www.spcomstock.com), the leading provider of financial information to
Internet sites globally, announced an upgrade to the firm's highly successful
Xstream Quotes, containing several valuable new features. The new version of
Xstream will enable Comstock's clients, including online portals and
investment institutions, to offer institutional quality information and
analysis to their customers. The upgraded version of Xstream Quotes will
offer NASDAQ Level II data, the S&P stock screener, S&P proprietary analytical
information, Corporate Profiles and real-time portfolio analysis tools.
"Individual investors desire professional quality data and professional
quality tools for their investment decisions," said Daniel J. Connell,
executive managing director, Standard & Poor's Retail Markets. "Our new
version of Xstream Quotes provides users with a much broader view of the
market at any given moment, and better insight into where it is going. The
new tools, as well as links to proprietary Standard & Poor's analytical
information, create a comprehensive, fully customizable investment tool that
will enable our clients to differentiate their offering in an increasingly
 challenging market environment."
The new Xstream Quotes offers a markets button displaying analysis of
market movers in several formats, including the top performing stocks on the
NYSE and NASDAQ. In addition, the new real-time portfolio tools enable users
to track the value of their portfolios in real-time; while the NASDAQ Level II
data offers individual investors a much deeper view of the market, beyond the
best bid and ask prices, including the source of each quote. Version two of
Xstream Quotes also includes a button for trading, which enables investors to
move directly from Xstream Quotes to a broker's screen and execute trades on
 the broker's website.
Xstream Quotes already allowed users to personalize their own color-coded
Watchlist, and select from up to twenty-two fields of information including
bid and ask; last price; percent change; volume; daily and 52-week high and
low; and open/close. A convenient folder system allows individuals to
 maintain five separate portfolios.
Firms that contract for the Xstream Quotes service can choose their own
redistribution option, such as offering Xstream as a premium to select
customers, bundling it with an existing financial package, or re-selling it.
Standard & Poor's ComStock provides real-time worldwide financial
information, including securities, foreign exchange and commodities data,
news, historic information and software applications, to retail and online
brokers, financial planners and advisers, institutional investors, and online
portal redistributors. ComStock's global real-time datafeed can be
supplemented with proprietary information and services from the entire
