    BENSALEM, Pa., April 4 /PRNewswire/ --
Strategic Distribution, Inc. (Nasdaq: STRD) announced today that it has
opened an In-Plant Store(R) program for the Division of Facilities Services at
the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
Mike Coleman, director of central services, Division of Facilities
Services for University of Pennsylvania said "the In-Plant Store(R) program
has provided the University with the opportunity to re-focus internal assets
towards other core activities. We felt that Strategic Distribution had a
comprehensive program, which enables our various campus support teams in
Facilities Services to receive higher service levels at a reduced total cost
to the University. It is also an opportunity for us to allow Strategic
Distribution to actively manage our indirect inventory assets, something the
University felt was an area that needed improvement."
Carl Rapp, senior vice president of Sales & Marketing at Strategic
Distribution noted that "the fit between the two organizations was right from
the start. The In-Plant Store(R) program is a business solution that is
customized to an individual organization's needs. After an extensive review
and diagnostic process, the University of Pennsylvania felt we offered the
most complete solution to managing their indirect material supply chain. We
look forward to a long relationship with the University."
