importers, retailers, wholesalers, distributors and other volume buyers
converged on the China Sourcing Fairs this past week in Mumbai, November 20-
22, 2009. The Fairs, managed by Pico Event Management under license from

With the success of this year's Fairs, the events will expand in 2010. In
addition to the China Sourcing Fairs: Electronics & Components, Hardware &
Building Materials and Auto Parts & Accessories, next year's Mumbai schedule
will include the launch of China Sourcing Fairs: Security Products, Gifts &
Premiums, Home Products and Bathroom Products. The Fairs are scheduled to be

More than 12,430 importers from all over India attended the Fairs last
week. Representatives from some of the country's top buying offices visited

professionals indicated they would be buying more from mainland China. Eighty-
seven percent of respondents plan to increase their purchasing from mainland
China in the coming year; 30 percent of respondents indicated they would
increase the volume of products they import from mainland China by as much as
20 to 40 percent compared to last year.
