SulphCo., Inc. Signs First Order for Petroleum Desulfurization Process in Europe

Apr 10, 2001, 01:00 ET from SulphCo., Inc.

RENO, Nev., April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- SulphCo., formally known as FilmWorld
Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: FWLD) announced today that it has negotiated an
agreement for the sale of the first desulfurizing unit using the proprietary
SulphCo. technology in Europe. The unit is to be installed at the Iplom
 refinery near Genoa, Italy.
The Iplom refinery is a large independent regional refiner in Northern
Italy. The parties plan to have the desulfurization unit operating during the
summer 2001. The unit is planned to process 11,000 barrels of diesel oil per
day. Full terms of the contract are expected be finalized in May 2001,
including licensing royalties that will be based on a through put basis per
 gallon.
"This is an important first step towards marketing our technology
internationally," said Dr. Mark Cullen, Chief Executive Officer of SulphCo.
"An operating desulfurization unit at the Iplom refinery will be an excellent
springboard for future global sales particularly in Europe."
The SulphCo. technology uses a unique energy source to remove sulfur from
oil streams, lowering sulfur concentrations in crude oil from several thousand
parts per million (ppm) to less than 15 ppm. Skid-mounted and self-contained
units will be located on-site at refineries, oil production facilities and
fuel terminals. The company is based in Reno, Nevada, and is traded on the
OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol FWLD.
From time to time, the company may issue forward-looking statements which
involve risks and uncertainties. This statement may contain forward-looking
statements within the meaning of Section 27A of the Securities Act of 1933, as
amended, and Section 21E of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.
Actual results could differ and any forward-looking statements should be
 considered accordingly.
