LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., April 20 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ --
Summer 2001 will be a "specials" time for budget-conscious Floridians to
experience the fun of Walt Disney World Resort, with special ticket offers in
store for all four theme parks and two water parks plus the best rates of the
year to test Disney's PGA TOUR-caliber golf courses.
And with Disney's patented, time-saving FASTPASS system being expanded,
guests will be able to save time and fit more fun into a theme park day than
ever before. Also, with nearly 6,000 value accommodations on property,
budget-conscious vacationers have an opportunity to enjoy the magic of a
complete Walt Disney World Resort experience.

Here's a rundown on the good values:
     * For Florida fans of theme-park fun, Disney's "Play 4 Days" Florida
resident ticket is coming back with "park-hopping fun" at the four Walt Disney
World theme parks. Beginning April 22 and continuing until Sept. 30, Florida
residents can visit Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney-
MGM Studios any four days (except July 4) for $99 plus tax. Play 4 Days
ticket holders also can visit more than one park on a given day.
Play 4 Days tickets may be purchased at theme park ticket windows, Florida
AAA offices, Florida Disney Store locations, by visiting
www.disneyworld.com/play4days or by calling 407/W-DISNEY. Proof of Florida
 residency is required.
     * When the weather heats up, Florida residents can help cool down a friend
with a special summer offer at two Disney water parks, Blizzard Beach and
Typhoon Lagoon. From April 24 through Sept. 30, Florida residents get
50 percent off the price of a second ticket with the purchase of a full-price
ticket to either of the Walt Disney World water parks.
Regular-priced admission to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon is
$29.95 plus tax. The offer for 50 percent off a second ticket is available by
request at the ticket window and is good only on the day of purchase. Proof
of Florida residency is required. Guests may call 407/WDW-PLAY for additional
 information.
     * Floridians and non-Floridians alike can "play the daylight" out of three
Disney championship courses with a first-ever Golf Summer Pass featuring
unlimited after-3 p.m. play from June 1 through Sept. 27 for a one-time fee of
$99. The Golf Summer Pass is valid for tee times after 3 p.m. on Disney's
Palm course, Disney's Eagle Pines course and Disney's Lake Buena Vista course.
There is no additional charge for cart or greens fees for tee times after
3 p.m. during the nearly four-month period when the Golf Summer Pass is valid.
Disney's Golf Summer Pass can be purchased at Disney pro shops beginning
June 1 and tee times may be arranged up to seven days in advance. The Pass is
non-transferable and tee times are subject to availability. For tee times,
 guests may call 407-WDW-GOLF.
     * Summer Price Slice is back with special-value greens fees on tee times
after 10 a.m. daily from May 21 through Sept. 27 on Disney's five championship
 courses.
Golfers can test the premier Osprey Ridge course for $65 (compared to a
normal seasonal greens fee of $115) or Eagle Pines for $50 (compared to a
normal seasonal fee of $105). Post-10 a.m. rounds on the Palm, Lake Buena
Vista or Magnolia courses are $45 (compared to a normal seasonal fee of $95).
Electric cart is included. For tee times, guests may call 407/WDW-GOLF.
     * For fans of professional baseball, the Orlando Rays, the Class AA
affiliate of Major League Baseball's Tampa Bay Devil Rays, are offering a new,
money-saving ticket package with extraordinary flexibility. The 24-Pack Flex-
Plan includes 24 game tickets for $120 (savings of $3 per ticket on lower-
level reserved seating). The tickets can be used in any combination for any
regular season game or games -- one ticket to each of 24 games, two tickets to
12 games...or even 24 tickets to one game.
The Rays play 70 home games in the cozy, 7,500-seat Disney's Wide World of
Sports ballpark between April 5 and Sept. 3. Information on ticket packages
and group tickets is available by calling 407/939-GAME (939-4263).
     * Disney's FASTPASS is being made available on four additional attractions
in time for summer visitors: "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Play It!" at
Disney-MGM Studios, Living With The Land and Maelstrom at Epcot, and Big
Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom. With the additions, a total of 23
attractions in the four Walt Disney World theme parks will offer the free
 alternative to lengthy waiting lines.
All theme park guests can choose FASTPASS or the standby line. If they
choose FASTPASS, they use any valid theme park ticket to obtain a FASTPASS
ticket, which is their "ticket" to return during a designated one-hour time
period later in the day and skip the regular line to experience the
 attraction.
