TCF Bank Searching for Colorado Traditional Branch Sites

Apr 13, 2001, 01:00 ET from TCF Bank Colorado

    DENVER, April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- TCF Bank, a fast-growing bank in Denver
and Colorado Springs, is actively searching for space to build five new
branches by the end of 2002. A leader in convenience banking in Colorado, TCF
is open seven days a week with extended hours and on most holidays. TCF
offers 24-hour a day ATM, telephone, and on-line banking.
"We believe convenience means providing customers with the products and
services they need, when and where they need them," said Wayne Marty,
President of TCF Bank Colorado. "For some customers, that means a traditional
bank branch." Ron Miller, Real Estate and Facilities Manager for TCF, added,
"We're looking for space to add five traditional branches with drive-up
tellers and ATMs to our existing traditional branch and 12 supermarket
 branches in Cub Foods."
TCF is primarily focused in high traffic areas in Denver and Colorado
Springs. The ideal space would be approximately 1.5 acres to accommodate a
5,000 square foot building and located near a large retail development on a
busy corner allowing easy, convenient access to the branch.
TCF Bank Colorado is an affiliate of
TCF Financial Corporation (NYSE: TCB), an $11.2 billion national financial
services holding company with banking offices in Minnesota, Illinois,
Michigan, Wisconsin, Colorado, and Indiana. Other TCF affiliates provide
leasing, mortgage banking, and investment and insurance sales.
