TechRx Acquires Renlar Unit From Cardinal Distribution; Pharmacy Systems Standardize and Move to Web-Based, ASP Format

    PITTSBURGH, April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- TechRx Incorporated, a privately held
 pharmacy software solutions company based in Pittsburgh, Pa., announced today
 it has agreed to purchase the Renlar pharmacy software business from Cardinal
 Health Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of Cardinal Health, Inc.
 (NYSE:   CAH) of Dublin, Ohio.  Under the agreement, TechRx acquires
 substantially all of the assets of Renlar, including existing customer
 contracts and intellectual property.  Financial terms were not disclosed.

     TechRx has a customer base of more than 12,000 retail pharmacy chain
 stores, 5,000 independent pharmacies, 770 managed care pharmacies and more
 than 20 mail service pharmacies. TechRx employs approximately 400 people
 across North America and recently has acquired a number of pharmacy systems,
 including the NDC pharmacy systems and CONDORx.  With the industry's largest

 central fill services to its clients. Cardinal Distribution also will help
 market TechRx pharmacy software, including the T-Rex One ASP hosted pharmacy
 system, and will work with TechRx to provide qualified customers with the
 hardware needed to run the software.  A seamless interface with the T-Rex One
 software will be created to enable pharmacies to enhance productivity through
 integrated inventory replenishment through Cardinal Distribution.
