TECO BGA Purchases South Florida Energy Services Division

    TAMPA, Fla., April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- TECO BGA has purchased the assets of
 the energy services division of AMSI Inc., a diversified contracting company
 located in Fort Lauderdale. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
     "This is an excellent opportunity to expand the TECO BGA presence in the
 large and growing South Florida energy marketplace," explained Michael Gibson,
 president-TECO BGA.
     "South Florida accounts for more than 30 percent of all energy services
 opportunities in the state. And, this acquisition puts TECO BGA's Gold Coast
 growth strategy two years ahead of plan," Gibson added.
     The acquisition expands on TECO BGA's ability to offer a complete and
 total package of performance solutions, including engineering design,
 construction, energy programs and operations and maintenance services to the
 Gold Coast market.
     Joining the company from AMSI are: Peter Bryon, general manager of Fort
 Lauderdale Operations; Jim Coleman, project manager; John Jimenez,
 construction field representative; Tracie Lampton, business development
 manager; and Russ Samo, construction manager.
     A new office, to be located in Fort Lauderdale will supplement the design
 expertise of the TECO BGA West Palm Beach and Miami offices. These newly
 enhanced capabilities will also complement TECO BGA's affiliated operations
 and maintenance provider, ConServ Building Services.
     AMSI has served a number of Florida clients, including many municipal
 entities, state agencies and K-12 school districts. As part of TECO BGA, Bryon
 and his Fort Lauderdale team will continue to serve its existing client base
 while marketing, developing and implementing turnkey projects throughout South
 Florida.

 a variety of commercial, industrial and governmental clients throughout the
