Teem Photonics Brings in New Director of Manufacturing to Boost Volume Manufacturing of Optical Components

Apr 30, 2001, 01:00 ET from Teem Photonics

GRENOBLE, France, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Teem Photonics, a leading
developer and manufacturer of innovative active and passive optical components
for optical networks, today announced the appointment of Herve Hautin as
 director of manufacturing.
Unlike many other optical component manufacturers, Teem Photonics' planar
platform technology is intrinsically well suited to high volume production.
"Hautin's experience will be invaluable to us as we ramp up production of our
splitters and EDWAs (erbium doped waveguide amplifiers) to respond to the
overwhelming industry demand," stated Teem Photonics CEO, Antoine Kevorkian.
Hautin brings over 12 years of manufacturing and development experience to
the position. Prior to joining Teem Photonics, Hautin served two years as
plant director at Philips Lighting (450 employees), where he oversaw the
creation of high-volume manufacturing processes, and 11 years in various
technology management positions at Philips Semiconductors. Hautin holds an
engineering degree in telecommunications from the Institut Superieur
 d'Electronique de Paris(ISEP).
