    MADRID, Spain, April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its drive to provide
 better services to the corporate sector, the Telefonica Group has created
 Telefonica Data Peru, a company supplying integrated communications and
 information services solutions and seeking to provide unique client support
 and services, with a special emphasis on Large Corporates and New Economic
 Players.
     Telefonica Data came into being as a Business Unit in October 2000,
 becoming Telefonica Data Peru following the merger of the Telefonica Group's
 subsidiaries in the data systems, engineering projects, internet and
 consultancy sector: Telefonica Sistemas, Telefonica Servicios Internet,
 Telefonica Servicios Financieros and part of Comunicaciones de Empresa
     Telefonica Data Peru has the ability to design large and complex
 integrated projects involving various technological solutions which can be
 applied to several economic sectors: finance, education and health, public
 administration, mining and energy, retail and industry.
 
     Tailor-made client services
 
     Telefonica Data Peru offers services tailored to clients' requirements
 using advanced technology and providing broader coverage, and is thus able to
 provide integrated communications and information services solutions which
 render corporate management more efficient.

     a) Corporate communications: including all those services which meet
         corporate communication requirements, such as Meganet, Interlan and
