Telekom Austria's Internet Subsidiary Jet2Web Internet Acquires 25,000 YLine ISP Customers and Increases Market Share to Over 33 Percent

    VIENNA, Austria, April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Telekom Austria Group's
 (NYSE:  TKA) (VSE:TKA) internet subsidiary, Jet2Web Internet Services GmbH,
 ('Jet2Web Internet') has acquired over 25,000 ISP-customers from YWAS
 (YLine Web Access), a former competitor in the Austrian market for ISP
 services.  The majority of ISP-customers bought by Jet2Web Internet come from
 former PC-bundling initiatives of YLine.  The contracts for the transferral of
 the customers has been signed and the purchasing price agreed.
     In addition, all YWAS-customers that have no long-term ISP-contracts will
 in future be serviced by Jet2Web Internet and will be provided with
 appropriate offers to access the web via Jet2Web Internet products.
     Eduard Zehetner, Jet2Web Internet's managing director, commented on the
 successful completion of the negotiations:
     "With this deal Jet2Web Internet will increase its market share to over
 33%, which corresponds in figures to more than 450,000 customers accessing the
 Net with us. We see in this additional customer base a solid platform to
 further expand the blanket coverage of ADSL broadband technology."
     YWAS is a 66% owned subsidiary of I-Online Software AG. YLine Internet
 Business Services AG holds a 20% share in I-Online Software AG.

 since we also want to increase our future co-operation with Jet2Web Internet
