Teton Announces Scheduled Testing of Pipeline

    STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo., April 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Teton Petroleum Company
 (CDNX: YTY.U) announces that it is in the process of completing a 40 kilometer
 pipeline in western Siberia.  Upon completion of the pipeline, it will be
 tested by air pressure.  The pipeline will enable the company to produce oil
 on a year round basis from the Eguryak license territory, which is located
 20 miles north of the Samotlor oil field.  Teton began developing the Eguryak
 oil field in 1997 and has been producing oil since 1997.  From 1997 to
 present, the company has had to truck oil in the winter and barge oil in the
 summer, and shut down oil production in the fall and spring due to changing
 weather conditions.
     The company conducts its active business solely through a 50% ownership
 interest in Goltech Petroleum LLC, a Texas limited liability company
 ("Goltech"), which, in turn, operates solely through ownership of a
 70.59% interest in Goloil, a Russian joint stock company ("Goloil").  Goloil
 owns the Eguryak license in western Siberia.
