WALTHAM, Mass., April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- TimeTrade Systems, Inc. announced
today that The City Colleges of Chicago Center for Distance Learning (CDL) has
implemented TimeTrade's enterprise-class scheduling solution. The City
Colleges of Chicago is comprised of seven separately accredited public
community colleges serving over 160,000 students in credit, non-credit and
Adult Education skills programs. TimeTrade is a leader in real-time, Web-
based scheduling and time inventory management solutions for service
businesses, corporations, government agencies and educational institutions.
CDL offers affordable, quality education to students who are unable to
attend classroom instruction. To successfully complete their studies, CDL
students must pass periodic proctored exams administered on personal computers
at one of seven campuses. Before TimeTrade's system was implemented, multiple
clerks had to manually schedule appointments for over nine thousand exams in
more than 70 subjects each term. TimeTrade's system lets students self-
register for exams via the Internet, while simultaneously tracking resources
and managing exam capacities. To date, thousands of exam appointments have
 been booked through TimeTrade.
"Scheduling multiple exams for over 3,000 students at multiple locations
with a limited number of PCs available at any given time was a challenging
task," says Pam Lattimore, dean of CCC's Center for Distance Learning. "We
knew there had to be a better way, and after looking at several Web-based
 scheduling solutions, we chose TimeTrade."
     TimeTrade's patent-pending TimeCommerce(TM) platform supports Web-based
enterprise scheduling solutions for service chains, franchise networks, health
clubs, hospitals, call centers, universities, and government agencies, as well
as corporate scheduling solutions for customer service, sales force
automation, training, event management and human resources. The company also
licenses its platform to OEM partners, ISVs and aggregators who use it to
enable Web-based scheduling solutions for their customers.
"CCC's requirements are complex, but not unique," says Marco Peterson,
TimeTrade's CEO. "The colleges have a limited number of resources that must
be made available to many users in a discrete period of time. Our
TimeCommerce platform was designed with these situations in mind."
