'The Hunted' Has Started Filming

    HOLLYWOOD, April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- "The Hunted," directed by Academy
 Award(R) and Golden Globe winner William Friedkin and starring Academy
 Award(R) and Golden Globe winner Tommy Lee Jones, Academy Award(R) and Golden
 Globe winner Benicio Del Toro and Connie Nielsen, began principal photography
 on March 20.  The production is filming in Portland, Oregon and will be
 distributed in North America by Paramount Pictures and internationally by
 Lakeshore Entertainment.  "The Hunted," A William Friedkin Film, is a
 Paramount Pictures presentation in association with Lakeshore Entertainment
 and is a Ricardo Mestres Production/Alphaville Production.

     Acclaimed director William Friedkin ("The Exorcist," "Rules of
 Engagement"), brings to life a suspense-thriller about an ex-military
 survivalist expert and deep-woods tracker, L.T. Bonham (Jones), who teams up
 with FBI agent Abby Durrell (Nielsen) to track and hunt down a trained
 assassin Aaron Hallam (Del Toro), who for his own reasons, lures Bonham and
 the FBI into a gut-wrenching game of cat and mouse.  With ruthless precision
 and murderous skill, Hallam remains one step ahead of his pursuers.
     The screenwriters are David Griffiths & Peter Griffiths and Art
 Monterastelli.  Marcus Viscidi, David Griffiths, Peter Griffiths and Sean
 Daniel are the executive producers of "The Hunted," and the film is produced
 by Ricardo Mestres and James Jacks.
     Tommy Lee Jones received an Academy Award(R) and a Golden Globe for his
 outstanding performance in "The Fugitive."  Jones, who has appeared in over
 50 films, most recently appeared in the military drama "Rules of Engagement"
 and "Space Cowboys."  Some of his other films include "Double Jeopardy," "U.S.
 Marshals," "Men in Black," "Batman Forever," "The Client," "Natural Born
 Killers" and "JFK."  After he completes "The Hunted," Jones will begin work on
 "Men in Black 2."
     Benicio Del Toro had a breakthrough performance in the critically
 acclaimed drama "Traffic," directed by Steven Soderbergh, for which he
 received numerous awards and nominations.  The accolades include an Academy
 Award(R), a BAFTA award and a Golden Globe for his supporting role.  He
 recently received a Screen Actors Guild award for best actor.  Del Toro has
 been in such films including "Snatch," "Way of the Gun," "Fear and Loathing in
 Las Vegas," "The Usual Suspects," "Swimming with Sharks" and "Basquiat."
     Connie Nielsen, who starred in last summer's mega-blockbuster and Academy
 Award(R) winning "Gladiator," has appeared in such films as "Mission to Mars,"
 "Rushmore" and "The Devil's Advocate."  She will also be seen opposite Robin
 Williams in this year's thriller "One Hour Photo."
