    HACKENSACK, N.J., April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Blueflame Inc., the leading e-
Solutions subsidiary of Aztec Technology Partners, Inc. (Nasdaq: AZTC), said
today that it had been selected by the H.W. Wilson Company, New York, N.Y., to
design and develop the next generation of WilsonWeb, its online bibliographic
service. H.W. Wilson, founded in 1898, is the industry leader in publishing
Web, CD-ROM and print references for librarians and researchers worldwide and
is renowned for the quality of its data and content. By extending the
functionality of WilsonWeb, the on-line delivery system of references, H.W.
Wilson is increasing the scope and value of its services to subscribers while
at the same time realizing greater profitability through the efficiencies of
 an on-line solution.
The enhanced WilsonWeb, available later this year, includes greater system
stability, improved support for full text searches, and a more capable, faster
search engine, all of which will be particularly valuable to power end users
and librarian searchers. The foundation of the system is 10 million
heterogeneous bibliographic content items that are integrated into a single
database and retrieved via multiple customized views. It will meet customer
needs for on-site administration and customization, enhanced user statistics
and full text search, and better usability, particularly for those users with
disabilities. Because of faster database updating, the end-user will
experience much better currency of data.
Lu Parziale, vice president of information systems at H.W. Wilson, said,
"More than 8,000 institutions rely on WilsonWeb for conducting crucial
research. We determined that WilsonWeb required a next generation system
architecture and technology to meet our customers' evolving needs. We chose
Blueflame to develop the new version of WilsonWeb because of previous
experience with Blueflame personnel, their expertise in the technologies we
wanted to deploy and because they could meet our aggressive schedule. The e-
Commerce capability on WilsonWeb will allow us to enter new markets and to
 serve a wider audience. "
Tom Genega, senior vice president of research and development at
Blueflame, said, "Working with H.W. Wilson, we are developing a system that
fully leverages Java and XML technology to create a flexible and feature-rich
solution. The application is based on the ATG Dynamo(R) e-Commerce platform,
and utilizes Verity's industry-leading text searching technology for the query
engine. Designed to dramatically shorten the time-to-market for customized
bibliographic product offerings, the new WilsonWeb will keep H. W. Wilson at
the forefront of Web-based bibliographic research services."
