The L.I.F.T. Women's Resource Center to Host 10th Annual Fund-Raiser At Detroit's Opera House, April 6

    DETROIT, April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- "SHARING THE SPIRIT OF RESTORATION" is
 this year's theme for the L.I.F.T. Women's Resource Center Annual Fund-raiser,
 as the organization continues to do their part in saving the lives of women
 and families.  Since 1992, the L.I.F.T. Women's Resource Center has been a
 beacon of light and solid platform of healing for women from all walks of
 life.
     Providing life skills training, parenting classes, various types of
 counseling, a clothing closet for the client's basic needs (and for "Impress
 For Success" orientation) to women dealing with or making the transition from
 homelessness, domestic violence and substance abuse, L.I.F.T. Women's Resource
 Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is currently located in the
 lower level of Oak Grove A.M.E. Church, at 19801 Cherrylawn, Detroit, MI,
 48221, 313-345-9065.  The organization is awaiting a new facility.
     In order to maintain and exceed this level of success of changing and
 saving women's lives, L.I.F.T. Women's Resource Center will host their
 10th Annual Benefit Fund-raiser on April 6, 2001, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the
 prestigious Detroit Opera House.  A donation of $100 per person is requested
 and up to $75 of that may be tax deductible.  The event keynote speaker is the
 Honorable Congresswoman, Carolyn Cheeks-Kilpatrick.  Music renditions will be
 provided by (Reverend) Ortheia Barnes-Kennerly and Musician/Composer,
 Mr. Darryl Nichols.
