    LOS ANGELES, April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- CBS will reveal the sole survivor
 LIVE on a special two-hour series finale of SURVIVOR:  THE AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK,
 Thursday, May 3 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), immediately followed by SURVIVOR:  THE
 OUTBACK REUNION, a one-hour LIVE reunion show to be hosted by Bryant Gumbel
 that will feature all 16 survivors (10:00-11:00 PM, LIVE ET/tape delayed PT),
 on the CBS Television Network.
     Having endured bush fires, floods, extreme temperatures, starvation and
 Outback politics for 42 days, the winner of SURVIVOR:  THE AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK
 will finally be revealed.  The finale will begin with the remaining three
 survivors striving to outwit, outplay and outlast their competitors for the
 $1 million prize.   The sole survivor will be chosen by the jury, which is
 made up of the seven individuals who have previously been voted out of the
 tribe.
     The votes cast during the final tribal council in the Outback were sealed
 and have been kept under lock and key so that the outcome can be unveiled LIVE
 during the final show.
     Immediately following the finale, Bryant Gumbel, anchor of CBS News' "The
 Early Show," will host a LIVE gathering of the 16 survivors who will be
 reunited for the first time since being in the Outback, on SURVIVOR:  THE
 OUTBACK REUNION (10:00-11:00 PM, LIVE, ET/tape delayed PT).  Viewers will hear
 from the 16 survivors as they reveal what life in the Australian Outback was
 like and how the experience has changed their lives.  In addition to
 reminiscing about their unique experience, adversaries in the group will be
 given the opportunity to confront each other for the first time.  This will
 also be the first opportunity for the winner to speak publicly about his/her
 personal experience and plans for the $1 million prize.
