    NEW YORK, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Village Voice, the nation's largest
 alternative weekly newspaper, is excited to announce The 1st Annual SIREN
 Music Festival at Coney Island on Saturday, July 21st from 12 noon-9 p.m.
     This all-day, free event promises to be one of the most exciting outdoor
 music extravaganzas New York has ever seen!  SIREN will feature live national
 bands, DJ's, carnival gaming, eclectic circus troupes, fire performers and
 cabaret acts on 2 outdoor stages and 3 indoor venues. The Coney Island
 Boardwalk will be converted into an "artwalk" which will highlight work from
 local and national artists.
     A portion of the proceeds from SIREN will benefit the Coney Island Chamber
 of Commerce and Coney Island USA, a non-profit arts organization benefiting
 the local community.
     Additionally, vendor booths and sponsorship packages will be available for
 interested individuals or groups.
