U.S. Performance Remains Strong; European Growth Reflected in the Numbers

    NEW YORK, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- ThruPoint, Inc., the leading network
 architecture consultant, today reported its first quarter results for the
 period ending March 31, 2001.
     Net sales for the first quarter were $22.4 million, compared with
 $12.4 million for the same period last year, showing an increase of 81
 percent.  The Company's revenue grew ten percent from fourth quarter 2000,
 which was reported at $20.4 million.
     Nineteen percent of the Company's total revenue can be attributed to its
 European operations, which showed net sales of $4.1 million in the first
 quarter.  This is compared with 7.1 percent of the Company's revenues from
 Europe in the first quarter of 2000.  ThruPoint has expanded to several
 European countries in the past year, including the Netherlands, Germany,
 Italy, and most recently Scotland.
     ThruPoint's net sales for year-end 2000 were $68.3 million, which showed
 155 percent growth from 1999's year-end figure, which was $26.7 million.
