Inaugural Event Brings Together Premier Food and Beverage Sponsors, Local Food Personalities, and 250 Food Bloggers for Interactive Culinary Experiences in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Foodbuzz, a global online food community of over 2,700 partner food bloggers, will host its first Annual Foodbuzz Blogger Festival from November 6-8, 2009 in San Francisco, CA. The sold-out Festival features a weekend full of interactive food-focused events and discussions. The experience is designed to engage and connect the food blog community, in addition to cultivating valuable experiences and knowledge to blog about afterwards.

The three day Festival begins on November 6th with a festive welcome cocktail reception at the Hotel Vitale, a Joie De Vivre property, followed by an evening of San Francisco "Street Food Fare," the best Bay Area street food paired with local brews, and specialty alcohols. The program continues on Saturday morning at the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market, which includes a "Farm to Table" discussion with Chef Paul Arenstam of restaurant Americano, and a cheese tasting/presentation with Cowgirl Creamery. Local food blogger Pim Techamuanvivit, well-known for her blog "Chez Pim," will be speaking about her recently published book, "The Foodie Handbook."

On Saturday afternoon a mix of bloggers, artisan producers, brands, wineries and chefs converge for the three-hour "Tasting Pavilion." Attendees will have the opportunity to sip, share, taste and talk as they learn about everything ranging from chocolate and wines, to artisan confections and local produce from Frog Hollow Farms. Alder Yarrow, the granddaddy of wine bloggers and proprietor of Vinography.Com, will guide two tasting seminars: "California Sparkling Wine" and "Underappreciated California Merlots."

Also in the Tasting Pavillion will be the Bertolli Sauce Kitchen, where three bloggers, selected by the Foodbuzz community to demo their recipes, will use Bertolli Sauces as the backbone of their own inventive appetizer or main course to dish out to the crowd. Nearby, six bloggers will be featured as Nature's Pride "Bread Ambassadors," cooking their own unique recipes integrating Nature's Pride bread for their fellow food bloggers to sample.

On Saturday night, Foodbuzz will team up with "Outstanding in the Field" for a farm-to-table family-style feast. Randall Grahm, of Bonny Doon Vineyard, will pair wines for the event, talk with diners about each wine and provide tasting notes. After dinner, Foodbuzz will honor the community's incredible blogging talent at the First-Annual Foodbuzz Blogger Awards Ceremony. Jenn Di Piazza, the creator of Foodie BlogRoll, will help MC the program.
