Time Magazine, April 9, 2001: Global Warming Dilemma; Donner Corp. International Issues Morning Note on ZAPWORLD.COM

Apr 17, 2001, 01:00 ET from Donner Corp. International

SANTA ANA, Calif., April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Donner Corp. International, a
broker/dealer headquartered in Santa Ana, CA., today issued a Morning Note on
ZAPWORLD.COM, Sebastopol, California (Nasdaq: ZAPP). ZAPWORLD.COM is one of
the world's leading companies in the light electric vehicle industry,
producing and marketing vehicles such as scooters, bikes and other personal
electric vehicles. Donner Corp. reiterated its BUY recommendation on
 ZAPWORLD.COM on February 15, 2001.

The Morning Note is as follows:

According to Time Magazine, "Except for nuclear war, or a collision with
an asteroid, no force has more potential to damage our planet ... then global
warming." Studies conducted by the U.N. sponsored Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change (IPCC) indicate that global warming will have an increasing
impact on human and natural systems as the frequency and severity of extreme
weather condition increase. According to the study we are already
experiencing the effects; glaciers are disappearing, coral reefs are dying,
the effects of both drought and El Nino are more frequent and severe, and
animals are shifting their migration patterns. These disastrous results are
expected to have an enormously negative impact on public health, farming,
tourism, agriculture, coastal development and other economic sectors.
The Kyoto Protocol calls upon industrialized countries to reduce their
emissions of greenhouse gases, seven percent below the 1990 levels by 2012.
The US is the largest overall producer of greenhouse gas emissions. With just
four percent of the planet's population, the United States emits about 25
percent of the six greenhouse gases linked to global warming. Due to the
burning of fossil fuels, it is the most abundant heat trapping gas in the
 atmosphere.
If we do not act, temperatures will rise over time, whole coastal regions
would be delineated, climate zones will shift dramatically, and disease would
be rampant. The world's dependency on fossil fuels for transportation must
 change.
ZAP has gone from an idea that started in a garage to what it is today: a
worldwide movement. Thousands of people are literally "ZAPPING" all over the
world. Studies show the use of electric vehicles for those short distance
trips taken on a daily basis could have a huge impact on cutting emissions.
Electricity produces a fraction of the emissions caused by gasoline and is
therefore better for the environment. ZAP customers rave that the ZAP is a
better way to get to work, run errands, even have fun -- while feeling that
you are contributing to lowering the greenhouse gas emissions.
ZAPWORLD.COM, is contributing their part to reduce the amount of
greenhouse gas emissions by devising alternative ways of transportation.
"ZAP" stands for "Zero Air Pollution." Amidst a time when we are constantly
threatened by rolling black-outs due to our country's current energy crisis,
vulnerable to rising gasoline prices, and concerned about the serious threat
of global warming and other repercussions of pollution, those three words
 stand for a lot.

ZAPWORLD.COM is one of the world's leading companies in the light electric
vehicle industry, producing and marketing vehicles such as scooters, bikes and
other personal electric vehicles. ZAP products are not dependent on gasoline,
but rather they run on electricity stored in a rechargeable battery. Even
after including emission from the ZAP power plants, ZAP electric vehicles
contribute to 90 percent less pollution than gas vehicles. The future of our
environment depends on bring new electric technology to the world.
We feel that companies, such as ZAPWORLD.COM, that develop zero-pollution,
electric vehicles deserve a good look. Donner Corp. maintains its rating on
 ZAPWORLD.COM as a Buy.
