Tommy Hilfiger Launches Women's Belt Collection to Debut in Fall 2001

 Tommy Hilfiger Corporation announced that it is launching a collection of
 women's belts. The line, an extension to the existing women's accessories
 collection, will mirror the company image -- classics with a twist.
     Designed and manufactured with fine imported leathers, each belt will be a
 unique accessory.  Hardware finishes will consist of antique brass or nickel,
 exclusively designed and engraved with the Tommy Hilfiger, crest and/or flag
 motif.  In conjunction with Tommy Hilfiger Handbags and Small Leather Goods,
 Inc. who will oversee development and distribution of the accessories, the
 line will debut for fall 2001.
     "Today, belts are a must have accessory in every woman's wardrobe," states
 Tommy Hilfiger.  "It was only natural for us to create unique and fashionable
 belts to complement our women's collections and fulfill the needs of our

     The core of the collection is created with bridle leather, available in
 black, brown, red and saddle colors with six key styles including the Tommy
 crest. In order to meet individual tastes, the line will offer fresh and
 fashionable options.  Highlights of the collection include an Italian embossed
 crocodile belt offered in six key styles. The hardware is decorated with the
 icon "H", while the belt is a double wrap and is offered in the signature
 Tommy red and navy colors, and basic black, brown and camel.  For the classic
 customer, a hand-braided group features the icon "H" as well as a basic braid,
 studded braid, and various color braids.  Meeting the needs for a downtown
 look, the Tommy Jeans belts, appropriately named Vintage, feature distressed
 soft casual leather in wider widths with several logo treatments including an
 interlocking "TH" buckle.  The fashion belt line comes in a cummerbund and is
 pieced as the red, white and blue Tommy flag.  Rounding out the fall
 collection is a denim-contoured belt with grommets and the Tommy flag logo as
 the keeper.  Retail prices range from $26-$50.
