Triton PCS Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: TPCS), a member of the AT&T Wireless
Services network, today reported it has been ranked as the best operating
company for the fourth quarter of 2000 by Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown in its
quarterly review of 22 U.S. wireless carriers, marking the second consecutive
 quarter the company ranked first.
Jeffrey L. Hines, managing director at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown, scored
the performance of wireless carriers as a barometer of their relative success
in the marketplace, using five metrics: penetration gain, average revenue per
