PLEASANTON, Calif., April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Tut Systems (Nasdaq: TUTS), a
provider of multi-service broadband systems for multi-tenant residential and
commercial buildings, today announced that its Expresso MDU(TM) platform has
been selected to provide high-speed Internet access to the attendee kiosks at
the telecommunications industry conference DSLcon'01 Spring, being held
April 9-12 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. This is the second
successive time that Tut has been so honored, having provided high-speed
Internet access to the booths of DSLcon Fall'00.
Said Peter Meade, managing partner of TeleResearch Inc., and the
conference director of DSLcon, "In dealing with a large space such as the
Colorado Convention Center, we needed a company that could wire our kiosks
efficiently over large sections of the trade show floor. From previous
experience, I knew that Tut Systems could provide a reliable, cost-effective
answer to DSLcon's temporary wiring needs, so Tut was our choice to provide
all the attendee kiosks with an easy-to-install, high-speed Internet access
 solution."
Tut's Expresso MDU product line incorporates Tut's proprietary LongRun(TM)
technology to deploy data connectivity over existing telephone wiring in
virtually every building configuration, without interruption of voice
services. At DSLcon, Tut's products are being used to distribute SDSL
Internet access and services from a central point-of-presence or "POP" to each
individual kiosk, offering conference organizers an alternative to the
 installation of costly T-1 lines.
In addition to sponsoring and exhibiting at DSLcon, Tut Systems will be
represented on several panels of experts:

"We're grateful that DSLcon offers us the opportunity to showcase the
flexibility of our multi-service broadband systems," said Mark A. Carpenter.
"For example, this year we're highlighting our Signature Switch(TM)
technology, which forms the basis of our service platform for commercial
buildings. We're very proud to be able to say with confidence that Tut has
the leading products on the market that can reliably deliver high quality,
multiple advanced broadband services within MTUs. And this capability is due
to Signature Switch, which also allows us to customize services for each
tenant, and even each desktop, within the MTU. We're thrilled to be able to
demonstrate this breakthrough in broadband services at DSLcon."
