the network's forthcoming Fifth Anniversary (April 29) tonight in front of a
packed room of 800 party-goers. The network put on quite a show featuring a
star-studded line-up of some of the most celebrated performers in the history
of television. Executive Vice President & General Manager of TV Land, Larry
 W. Jones was joined on-stage by several actors from TV Land's award-winning
programming roster including: Mary Tyler Moore and Ed Asner (The Mary Tyler
Moore Show); Tony Randall and Jack Klugman (The Odd Couple); Mr. T (The A-
Team); Larry Hagman and Barbara Eden (I Dream of Jeannie); Mike Connors
 (Mannix); Abe Vigoda (Barney Miller); Don Knotts (The Andy Griffith Show);
Joyce Randolph (The Honeymooners); Barbara Feldon and Bernie Kopell (Get
Smart); Jerry Mathers (Leave It To Beaver); Isabel Sanford (All in the Family)
and Randolph Mantooth (Emergency!). The legendary architect of rock and roll,
Little Richard, capped off the evening with a live concert performance.
In addressing attendees at the gathering, Jones also unveiled TV Land's
very first music video. The video, which stars Tony Randall and Mr. T,
features the pair singing rap music about the network and is inter-cut with
clips from TV Land's programming line-up. The video will be featured in
interstitial vignettes during the network's Fifth Anniversary celebration
weekend, May 12 and 13, when TV Land presents a 48-hour retrospective
featuring TV Land's signature specials and landmark programming from its first
five years. Jones also unveiled new acquisitions making their way to TV Land
in the coming months. Among the new shows being added include: The Love Boat,
which sets sail on TV Land in June; I Love Lucy, which will make its TV Land
debut on October 15, 2001 -- the exact date on which the show made its CBS
debut 50 years ago; Taxi, which rolls onto TV Land schedule in November; and
The Rockford Files, joining the network in January, 2002.

TV Land launched on April 29, 1996. The network's broad mix of sitcoms,
dramas, westerns and classic commercials -- which TV Land refers to as
Retromercials(R) -- have made TV Land the highest-rated cable channel launched
in the last five years on both a household and A25-54 demo basis.
