SEBASTOPOL, Calif., May 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Jasper O' Farrell's, the popular pub in the heart of downtown Sebastopol, Ca., will be hosting Jon Gonzales' CD signing party for his second album, Hump. The popular songwriter and ukulele stalwart offers his latest list of tunes at one of his favorite hometown venues.
On Wednesday, June 10 (Hump Day!), Gonzales will personally be signing newly-released copies of Hump, as well as perform a few songs from the record already considered to be one of 2015's best albums. There is no cover charge, and all ages are welcomed. Signing begins at 6pm.
The signing and release of Hump comes only six months after the tragic death of Gonzales' oldest of five children, Jasper. In addition to the already-contentious themes of pot addiction, narcissistic tendencies, psychedelic vegetables, sex toys, and spiritual surrender, Jasper's sudden passing offers the 12-song-album a whole new perspective of getting over a heart-wrenching, soul-defining time experienced by his family, including wife and singer Jenna Gonzales, who appears on title-track "Hump."
Hump, produced by Michael Lindner, will be available for purchase for $15, in which you can meet Gonzales and have him sign your copy right there before he and his trio hump through a few tunes from the new release. Notable artists on Hump include Lindner, Stephanie Salva, author Tony Vigorito, Bill Iberti, Terry Keady, and a plethora of femme vocalists to flavor Gonzales' hook-folk tunes, including a soulful rendition of Talking Heads' "This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)."
Go get your Hump on!
