United Airlines Flight Attendants Warn Flying Public of Possible Strikes; Demonstrations in Major Cities Across the Country on May 1

    WASHINGTON, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- United Airlines flight attendants
 will demonstrate in 10 major cities across the country on Tuesday, May 1. The
 demonstrations will include leafleting, picketing and CHAOS(TM) T-shirt
 walkabouts, where flight attendants in bright green CHAOS shirts will march
 through the airports and city streets to warn of possible strikes at the
 airline.
 
     The cities and activities include:
     * Boston -- Walkabout, Logan Airport, 5-7 p.m.
     * Chicago -- Walkabout, O'Hare Airport, Terminal 1, Doors 6 & 7 upper
       level, 9-11 a.m.
     * Denver -- Picketing, United's downtown ticket office, Brown Palace
       Hotel, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
     * Honolulu -- Leafleting, Honolulu Airport, United check-in, upper-level,
       7-11:30 a.m.
     * Las Vegas -- Walkabout, McCarran Airport, 11 a.m.-noon.
     * Los Angeles -- Walkabout, Los Angeles Airport, Terminal 7, upper level,
       1-2:30 p.m.
     * Miami -- Walkabout, Miami Airport, 8-10:30 p.m.
     * San Francisco -- Walkabout, San Francisco Airport, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
     * Seattle -- Picket & leafleting, United's downtown ticket office, 1303
       4th Ave., 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
     * Washington, DC -- Walkabout, Dulles Airport, 3-5 p.m.
 
     The flight attendants are moving forward with their strike plan, which was
 authorized by a 97 percent vote "FOR" a strike, should United unilaterally
 change the flight attendant contract by going forward with the proposed
 purchase of US Airways, without first getting an agreement on a waiver to the
 flight attendant contract.
     The 26,000 United Airlines flight attendants are joined together in AFA,
