DENVER, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Medical, Inc., the premier capital
medical equipment company in the United States, announced today that it has
formed a strategic alliance with ClearVision Laser Centers, Inc. of Lakewood,
Colorado, the nation's largest privately held laser vision correction
 provider.
Through this new partnership, U.S. Medical will work closely with
ClearVision Laser Centers to develop new markets throughout the country. In
addition, U.S. Medical will be the reseller of used CVC excimer lasers and
 other related equipment.
According to Scott P. Carson, founder and president of U.S. Medical, Inc.,
"This new strategic partnership with ClearVision Laser Centers gives U.S.
Medical extraordinary depth in the ophthalmic market. We are pleased to be
able to work with this highly successful organization, which is the provider
of choice for many of the country's finest LASIK surgeons."
Thomas P. Rogan, chief executive officer of ClearVision Laser Centers,
added, "In the current refractive market, LASIK surgeons are searching for
stability and high quality services. We are the best option for independent
surgeons who want to provide excellent care to their patients in their own
communities. We are delighted that the new relationship with U.S. Medical
will enable us to reach even more communities across the country."
ClearVision Laser Centers, founded in 1995, is a leading provider and
operator of excimer laser centers, with nearly 150,000 procedures performed to
date at more than 50 sites in 12 states. The company also pioneered the
innovative concept of the Multi-Site Single Laser Program (MSSL). In this
program, ClearVision transports lasers to selected locations in specially
designed mobile units driven by laser engineers who are trained by the laser
manufacturer to maintain and service the lasers. At each site, the laser is
fully tested and recalibrated to assure optimal performance. ClearVision also
provides the most highly skilled and trained surgical teams in the nation to
 support the company's affiliated surgeons.
As part of this agreement, U.S. Medical, with nearly 40 highly trained
sales representatives specializing in capital medical equipment, will work
throughout the country to develop markets in communities where a ClearVision
 MSSL site might be appropriate.
Founded in June 1996, U.S. Medical, Inc. is the most rapidly growing
distributor of new and previously owned capital medical equipment to the
health care practitioner industry in the United States. The company actively
sells thousands of types of CME products to thousands of medical practitioners
throughout North America, and is planning to expand its distribution into
Europe and Latin America. U.S. Medical, Inc. is the first CME distributor to
receive ISO 9002 certification from the International Standards Organization,
and is also the largest CME distributor to become fully e-commerce enabled via
 its website: www.USMedical.com.
